Thanksgiving Day Incidents

On Thursday November 24th, 2022 St Thomas Rescue responded to two significant incidents in our community.

Incident 1: At 1118 hours, both St Thomas Rescue, and the Virgin Islands Fire Emergency Medical Service (FEMS) were mobilized to a reported drowning in the area of the beach at the Mariott Frenchman's Cove. Upon arrival, an unresponsive male was rescued from the water, and treated by both Rescue and FEMS EMT/Paramedics. The male, from Connecticut, was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center.

Incident 2:

At 1357 hours, a St Thomas Rescue unit traveling in the area of Nisky Center observed the immediate aftermath of a road traffic collision. An Officer from St Thomas Rescue, assessed the patient, and immediately began lifesaving measures. Another Rescue Officer in the immediate vicinity arrived in under a minute carrying medical equipment and began additional lifesaving measures. The female patient was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Regional Medical Center..
